Why should I hire a photographer?
A photographer has experience. You can expect only the best. Your memories will be in good hands from the minute the first photo is taken until the last pop of the flash. Ask for sample books or albums to see past work. Also check the website or social media for recent work.​ 



What is the first thing to ask a photographer?
Find out who will be taking the pictures. It is important to speak direct with the person who will be taking the pictures on the day. If for any reason the photographer cannot take your pictures on that special day, he will arrange for a replacement photographer at no extra cost. This will be communicated well in advance. You should allow the photographer to handle this if there is a need.​



Do you do more than one wedding per day?
NO, never more than one wedding. You will specify where and when during the event you want photo's to be taken. Pictures are usually taken up to the end when the couple leave.​



Can we make a provisional booking?
A provisional booking can be made for one week. A booking is secured on receipt of your 50% deposit. Your booking expires after 7 days if 50% payment is not made.​



What is the cost, how much is the deposit and when must the balance be paid?
The deposit to secure your booking is 50% of the total and the balance (depending on the package chosen) must be paid one week before the event. Costs will vary depending on the type of package you choose. A list of different packages can be seen elsewhere on this website ( Click here ) and more information is available ONLY on request. Most people would choose an album or book including proofs (proofs are pictures that is stored digitally). To avoid delays, the photographer will select certain photo's for the photo album layout. Delivery of the final product will take longer if the couple would like to choose the photo's for the (book) layout. ​

When will albums or photo's be ready after the wedding day?

About 30 to 40 days after, depending on the package chosen. See Packages information elsewhere on this website. A Coffee table book can also be made of more important photo's. Albums come in various designs. The photographer will compile, design and edit the album that needs to be ordered. Tell us what you have in mind and we will do our best to get what you want. Can we tell you how and when pictures should be taken?

​Absolutely! I will guide you as we discuss the "where and the when". This information should be relayed to me so that you know where and when special pictures will be taken. The bride and groom should communicate their needs to the photographer before and during the event. 

Do we need to put a list together of the family pictures we want?
The entourage and perhaps both sets of parents can go to a predetermined place to take special photo's. Other guests would then go to the reception foyer or garden to have snacks and drinks. It is very important to discuss and communicate who will be taking pictures where to avoid confusion and frustration. Photo's of other family and friends can be taken at the reception together with the couple.

What about rather doing the pictures of the two of us together before the time?
Unless you are having a late ceremony I really don’t recommend it. We want the nice early evening sunlight for the photo’s of the two of you together and an hour or so is quite acceptable for your guests to be waiting while having drinks.

We went to a friends wedding and the photographer looked like something the cat just dragged in. How will you be dressed on the day?
I fully respect the fact that your wedding is a formal event so my shirt and trousers will be ironed and my hair and teeth will be brushed.

Do you edit or enhance photo's and is this included in the price?
​Some pictures might need editing but it is kept to a minimum. This is free. Special effects might be applied. The original photo's are however kept unchanged. You can view sample pictures in the gallery section. Applying special effects is not included in the price as it involves time to perform and it is not free.  

 

What is your preferred style of photography?
​Traditional. Capturing each moment as they unfold. 

 

How many weddings have you shot and how long are you doing photography? 
I have been doing wedding photography since 2011. I was a teacher for many years. Left teaching to take up my photography profession, permanently. I have done more than 30 weddings thus far (end of 2015). 

 

Have you ever shot at my venue?
Ask the photographer to see the venue if they have never taken pictures there.
